I walked alongside some incredible professionals working for one of our national treasures; the NHS. All of them with one clear goal: to provide the best patient care within an ever-reducing budget.
Trying to deliver amazing patient-care, deliver relentless cost improvements, keep staff motivated and keep any kind of work-life balance is really tough for our clinical leaders. How are they expected to cope?
During the NHFT Leadership Academy there were tears and laughter, hard work and fun but all with the purpose of strengthening leadership capability, resilience and an ongoing commitment to learning and continuous improvement. It can be uncomfortable but I believe that a willingness to reflect on our own leadership capability is our best source of learning and resilience and regular Mentoring provides us with an invaluable environment for leaders to do just that.
Diane has been delivering her carefully designed Leadership Academy for us for 4 years. This has included training modules which run alongside monthly 1:1 mentoring sessions for our clinical directors.
Her leadership mentoring has proved invaluable and her training is always expertly delivered in a fun, flexible but very carefully thought out and informative way. Our training objectives are always met and great feedback from the clinical leadership team
